Statement of the Problem: The changing face of
   
   
   
America and the global community requires more diverse and adaptable leaders of greater diversity. There is a global movement to empower girls in general as change leaders; however, there are not enough programs that specifically engage girls of color as future global leaders.
 Statement of the opportunity: Girls of color are pivotal, important, essential, and necessary to taking center stage as key players in the next generation of leaders. It is not sufficient to focus on remedial interventions; we will change the game to focus on proactively engaging girls of color at an early age to be global leaders.
 Our purpose: Celebrating the importance of girls and women of color as the next generation of global leaders.
 Our vision:  Global vision, local impact.  We will prepare girls of color to take center stage as global leaders.
 Our solutions:  Our goal is to break down barriers to success by raising the bar of excellence for girls and girls of color. It is not sufficient to invite girls of color to the leadership table; it is imperative that girls of color lead, own, and direct their own destinies.

G.U.R.L.S. Rock Leadership Program Unites with the Confidence Coalition
To Promote Self-esteem and Confidence Among Girls and Women

 G.U.R.L.S. Rock Leadership Program is acting in unity with the Confidence Coalition to support girls and women in building positive experiences and confidence. “We are honored to join the Coalition, which includes such prestigious members as Geena Davis' Institute on Gender in Media, Girl Scouts of the USA, The White House Project, CARE International, and others," said Dr. Raye Mitchell, CEO of the G.U.R.L.S. Rock Leadership Program. 

 


New book supports G.U.R.L.S. Rock Leadership

“The Evolution of Brilliance,” a bridge to charity

 

Dr. Raye Mitchell demonstrates that leading women in America have much in common with girls from 8 – 18 years old. Mitchell placed words of self-respect and success from notable female role models, past and present, into the inspiring anthology. The Evolution of Brilliance: Voices Celebrating the Importance of Women (ISBN: 0-97-86658-2-1) offers refreshing views of life and the numerous roles of women in it. To extend the connection with girls even further, proceeds from the sales of this anthology support New Reality Foundation’s G.U.R.L.S. Rock Leadership Program.
